PIERCE, Verna Lee, 53, of Norman, OK passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at her home with her husband by her side. Verna was born on April 13, 1963 in Hammond, Indiana to Vernon and Wanda Lyons. Verna loved Bowling and Reading and was a member of the Baylor Bear Foundation. Most of all, Verna loved raising and spending time with her daughter, Danielle and husband, Bruce. Verna is survived by her husband, Bruce of the home; daughter, Danielle Pierce of the home; brother, James Lyons and wife, Jennifer of Arkansas; sister, Linda Dompke and husband, Ronald of Illinois; four nieces: Christine, Mary, Laura and Talisha; two nephews: Brian and James, Jr. and four grand nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation and Services will be on Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the chapel at Havenbrook Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm and services scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm. Family requests any memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
