William Gareth 'Bill' Casetta, of Norman, passed away April 23, 2022. He was born on July 20, 1937, in Du Quoin, Illinois, to Opal Evelyn Tate Casetta and Andrew Charles Casetta. Bill graduated from the Ferguson High School in Ferguson, Missouri, in 1954, and immediately enrolled in the United States Air Force where he proudly served twenty years, six months and seventeen days. After Bill retired from the Air Force, he moved to Indiana, where he worked in the computer field for twenty-seven years.
Bill met Marilyn Anne Day on January 8, 1977, and they were married on December 9, 1978. They were married for forty-three years at the time of his death.
After Bill retired from the computer field in 2002, he and Marilyn moved to Norman, Oklahoma, where they resided until his death.
Bill was very proud to be both a Mason and a Shriner. He became a Mason in 1958, and a Shriner in 2007. Bill requested that any memorial donations for him be made to one of the twenty-one Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Bill is survived by his wife, Marilyn; five children; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Bill was a man devoted to his friends and family, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
