Wilmer Homer Schwartz, 88, of Norman passed away Friday, September 28, 2018. He was born December 8, 1929 in south Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he was delivered at home by his father William Homer Schwartz.

Wilmer grew up in Oklahoma City where he worked on his family’s farm. He was an avid fisherman and hunter all his life, once catching a 35lb catfish! He also loved to garden. Wilmer was a passionate sports fan; he loved all types of sports and enjoyed cheering on any OU sports teams. He was also a dominoes player, winning many trophies for his skill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Homer Schwartz and Elva Brown; his first wife, Betty Breedlove, and second wife, Marie Henderson; two sons, Boyd Wayne and Wendell Schwartz; his brother, Merle Schwartz, and two sisters Idella and Elena. Wilmer is survived by his son Darrell Schwartz and wife Mary; his third wife, Mary Norton; and grandson, Stefan Przelomski.

Family would like to invite friends to a luncheon reception, prior to services, beginning at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at Concord Missionary Baptist Church, 1500 Stubbeman Ave., Norman, OK. Visitation will be held 12pm-8pm Monday, October 1, 2018 at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman. A Graveside Service will begin at 1:00pm, Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Norman I.O.O.F. Cemetery officiated by James Ehrlich and Pastor R.L. Clark.
