Melissa was a practicing Pharmacist at St. Anthony’s Hospital in OKC. Melissa loved music, she was a highly skilled piano player and an amazing drummer. She was a certified scuba diver and was a frequent traveler to the Philippines where she would visit her extended family whom she loved dearly. Melissa had a passion for sports, as she played soccer and basketball in her adolescent years and became a diligent collector of sports memorabilia, collecting selfies, jerseys, balls, cards, and shoes signed by professional basketball and football athletes. Melissa enjoyed OU sports and was a proud Oklahoma City Thunder fan and season ticket holder. On many nights you could find her smiling in the arena cheering on the Thunder and getting autographs after the game. She loved attending comedy shows, concerts, and art shows. Melissa also loved animals, especially her two cats – Feist and Fiona – whom she adopted at the Second Chance Shelter in Norman. She never missed a birthday, Christmas, or Holiday celebration and always gave a personalized gift with a beautifully written card to the celebrant.
