I worked for Genevieve in The Crest (University Book Exchange) back in the early 70's...She was so patient and a very kind soul. I used to joke with her about various things on a day-to-day basis, and despite the difference in our ages, we got along great. When I did something wrong, she was very good at explaining without getting upset. Though she was only in my life a few years, I will never forget her...

I thought of Genevieve more of a friend than an aunt and her Daughters as sisters than cousins. We spend many days with Genevieve at her home on highway 9 and Noble. I remember 4th of Julys, trips to go swimming and fishing, cook outs we had at her house, times she and family came to visit us in Los Alamos and we would go to Santa Fe, Taos and other sites in New Mexico. I will miss my Aunt Genevieve but not forget her. I know she is with her Lord Jesus now forever.

May peace and love continue through the heart ache of losing a wonderful and loving Mother. May God speed the mending of your loss and accept a needed helper in Heaven.

Genevieve was my great aunt. One of my earliest memories of Genevieve is one of my most favorite. I am one of the granddaughters of Ethelene. When Genevieve was probably in her late thirties, she came out to California to visit her sister. We all went to the beach together. I am unsure if it was Genevieve's first time to the beach but she sat down in the sand where the waves crash and the waves kept knocking her over and the waves were going over her face, and she laughed and laughed and laughed. I had never seen a grown woman do this before and it has always stuck with me. I loved Genevieve very much although it seemed we didn't get close until later in her life, because of the distance we lived apart . When my grandma moved back to Oklahoma was when the bond strengthened. I always admired Genevieve's art. My grandma had a few portraits and pieces that Genevieve had painted. I called from time to time to keep in touch with my great aunt. I was sorry to hear of her medical problems. She would be frustrated trying to communicate; but she told me "don't quit calling". I called her just after she was moved into a home. She is loved. She will be remembered and missed!
